Equitable Access

Equitable Access to Technology in the Classroom:

In my classroom, all students will have the opportunity to use technology! Each student will be assigned a log-in and password from the technology teacher.

Technology Class Schedule:

Students will go to technology class each day for 30 minutes. In this class, students will learn computer basics such as Word, Power Point, and internet use. Students will also learn to type.

Technology in the Classroom:

Students will have access to a student computer in our classroom. Students can use the computer during designated times (8:00-8:30, 1:00-1:30, 2:30-3:00) to take AR tests when they finish a library book.

Students will have access to the class iPad during Reading center rotations to complete weekly word work.

Students will have access to a classroom Kindle with headphones to listen to the week's anchor text during Reading center rotations.

During class research projects, the teacher will schedule whole-class time in the upstairs computer lab or using the portable Chromebook lab.

**In order to ensure that all students get to use the classroom technology, the iPad, Kindle, and classroom computers will be included in the daily center rotations. Students will follow a rotation schedule that works with our reading block.
